Amazing view and amazing pizza
This family-run restaurant has recently undergone a full renovation which now complements the amazing view of Lugano’s lake. The modern look is very clean but also welcoming and it definitely stands out among the otherwise quite old buildings in the small village of Viconago. The restaurant now has a wine cellar and offers a wide selection of wines (unfortunately I didn’t try any as i don’t drink). The a la carte menu might be a bit pricey, but it is worth it if you consider that you also get a spectacular view. You can either have an aperitif or a full meal and the pizza is definitely something to try. It is oval shaped and there are many types to choose from (try one of the ‘Zodiac pizzas’ which were created by the owners according to their own Zodiac signs and tastes). The homemade desserts are also very good, especially the tiramisu (which comes in a weirdly shaped cup). Every time I visit I ask the waiter to please keep one aside for me as they tend to finish quite early in the evening! This restaurant has definitely improved its decor and food standards and makes for a very pleasant evening with good food and a stunning view.
A breathtaking location
Situated on the top of the town, overlooking Lugano lake you can get an astonishing view. The food is really well made and pizza is a typical and original Italian pizza. Highly recommended!
Delicious pizza with breathtaking view
I visited Stampa 1968 in July while on holiday in Lombardia. Lugano lake view from dining terrace is simply amazing. I had a perfect Quattro Stagioni (with crispy thin crust and generous toppings) which was perfectly cooked. Also , all pizzas come in giant size by default so you will fill yourself up for sure. Kind, warming and professional staff will welcome you and make you feel home. Definitely worth paying another visit!
We really like this place because it has an excellent service, delicious food, and prices are fairly reasonable. The view, of course, is also wonderful!!!
Great dinner with best view
This place really wowed me... It just has been reopened wth bigger facilities, new menu and more rooms in the hotel. The view of the lake is still amazing, must go when visiting the surroundings.
